The American Way

Those brave people that have occupied Boston, Wall Street and other institutions across the country truly understand the problem.  The American public has been scammed and fooled to think that the greedy banks and Wall Street are there to help us keep our financial balance.  Instead they have given liens knowing the people would not be able to pay, especially because those liens were given with increasing percentage and not a fixed rate.  When some were given home loans and their home loan was at, say six percent or so, along the way and a few months later, the percentage was increased to ten or maybe 12 percent, making the monthly mortgage well beyond what the people could pay.  Then they foreclosed on these homeowners throwing them into the street and refusing to work with them so they could keep their homes.  Those that were given two loans on their mortgage were out of luck.  This not only affected new home owners but people that had owned their homes for thirty or more years.
It is our constitutional right to gather and protest.  We pay the salaries of the government we live under.  They are supposed to listen to the people of America instead of support the criminal activities of banks and Wall Street.
Until you lose your home or your job you may not feel or know the gravity of what is happening.  You should be supportive of the occupants and thank them for doing that which those are not brave, or smart enough, to do.

  1. Right on! It is so wonderful to hear a Pagan perspective on the Occupy protests. I totally agree. Bless you, Rev. Cabot :)
